On 27 September, 2024, project team members Daniela Zālīte and Tomass Stepiņš participated in the European Researchers' Night by organising an activity "Meet your philosopher!".

From September 11th to 13th, 2024, the annual conference of the British Society for Phenomenology took place in Bristol, United Kingdom, titled "Embodiment and History." At the conference, our project participant Andrejs Balodis presented a paper.

From September 4th to 6th, 2024, the 9th annual conference of the Central and Eastern European Society for Phenomenology (CEESP) took place in Trnava, Slovakia, titled "The Many Worlds of Phenomenology: Umwelt – Mitwelt – Lebenswelt." During the conference, project participants Uldis Vēgners and Māra Grīnfelde presented a paper "The Life-World and Vaccine Hesitancy: Mutual Enlightenment between Phenomenology and Empirical Research."

From August 1 to August 8, 2024, the 25th World Congress of Philosophy took place in Rome, Italy, where, on August 3, our project participant Maija Kūle presented a paper in the round table section "Beyond Intersubjectivity. Forms of Peace in Edith Stein - Round Table."

In Volume 78, Issue 1 (2024) of the scientific journal Proceedings of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (Latvijas Zinātņu Akadēmijas Vēstis), Part A, an article by our project member Daniela Zālīte titled "The Relationship between Body Self-Objectification and Subjectivity in Anorexia: A Comparison of the Models by Fuchs and Osler" has been published.

From August 2 to 3, 2024, the annual Democracy Festival took place in Kuldīga. As part of the event, the project group organized two activities highlighting embodied aspects of democratic processes.

From 19th to 21st of June, 2024, Māra Grīnfelde and Uldis Vēgners presented a paper entitled "Existential feelings, bodily certainty and vaccine hesitancy: Phenomenologically grounded approach" at the 11th conference of the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions, hosted by the University of Lisbon and the NOVA University Lisbon in Lisbon, Portugal.

On 17th and 19th of May, 2024, Andrejs Balodis presented a paper entitled "Collective Body Memory and Health: Embodied Experience of Vaccine Hesitancy" at the 20th Nordic Society for Phenomenology conference “Between Past and Future: Existence, Embodiment, and Historicity”, organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.

Congratulations to our project's student participants Tomass Stepiņš and Daniela Zālīte on earning a Master's degree in Philosophy on June 19, 2024!

On 30th and 31st of May, 2024, Uldis Vēgners presented a paper entitled "From Objectification to Re-Subjectification. The Embodied Perspective on Autonomy in Vaccine Hesitancy" at the international conference “On the Traces of Togetherness. Phenomenology of Sociality in Central and Eastern Europe”, organised by the Institute Nova Revija for the Humanities in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

On 30 May, 2024 Māra Grīnfelde gave an online guest lecture “The role of embodiment in online clinical encounter: Phenomenologically grounded approach” for a PhD course “Integrating phenomenology and qualitative research methodologies” at the Graduate School of Health Sciences at University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark.

On 20th and 21st of May, 2024, the Centre for Medical Humanities and Bioethics at Linköping University hosted a meeting for the Swedish Network for Medical Humanities. Māra Grīnfelde and Uldis Vēgners were invited as keynote speakers to give a talk “The role of phenomenology in medical humanities: The case of vaccine hesitancy in Latvia.”

On 30 April, 2024, Māra Grīnfelde an invited talk “Methodological reflections on qualitative phenomenology in the context of health care and public health” in the framework of speaker series on phenomenology and qualitative research organized by the associate professor Anthony Vincent Fernandez at the research unit Movement, Culture and Society (MoCS), based in the Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics at University of Southern Denmark.

On 16 April, 2024, Uldis Vēgners gave a lecture on "The Life-World, Embodiment, and Vaccine" within the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Practical Knowledge in Philosophy: affectivity, skills and knowing-how", organized by the partners: Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai Cluj, University of Ferrara, University of Messina, Palacký University Olomouc, Trnava University in Trnava, University of Szeged and University of Veliko Trnovo.

On 9 April, 2024, Māra Grīnfelde gave an invited online talk: “Doing applied phenomenology: Practical tips” in the talk series dedicated to the applied phenomenology, organized by the Laboratory for Phenomenological Research in Illinois, USA.

On 21 March, 2024, all our team members participated with presentations in the section 'Lived Body, Memory and Society: Social Dimensions of Embodied Experience' at the 82nd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia 2024.

On 9-10 March, 2024, Māra Grīnfelde presented a paper entitled "The Role of Bodily Certainty in Vaccine Hesitancy: Phenomenologically Grounded Approach" at the International Conference on Medical Humanities, organised by the London Centre for Interdisciplinary Research at Birkbeck College, University of London and online.

On 29 September, 2023, project team participated in the European Researchers' Night by organising an activity "Step into Another's Shoes".

From September 26th to 27th, 2023, in Vilnius, Lithuania, an international scientific conference titled 'Phenomenological Concept of Sedimentation and its Application' will take place. During this conference, our project participant Andrejs Balodis will deliver a presentation.

From September 20th to 21st, 2023, in Linköping, Sweden, the Interdisciplinary Phenomenology Hub at the Linköping University organizes a workshop titled "Inaugural Workshop: The Interdisciplinary Phenomenology Hub (IPH)". As part of the workshop, project participant Māra Grīnfelde will give a presentation.
